This page is devoted to links to competitions and also competitions existing within our school Design Graphics classes. 

Very soon we will have new  links to a number of new video/multimedia competitions with excellent prizes.   

Middle School Character Competition

Students have to develop a cute, kid friendly 2D character using Adobe Illustator CS4.  The entries will be judged by you and voted on using a poll that can be clicked to from here.  You need to choose the one that you think is cutest and best designed.  The character that gets the highest number of votes will win the student a range of professionally produced stationery featuring their character.  The stationery is likely to include postcards, magnets, a T-shirt and more.   Check out the entries on this page_______________ and start voting on your favourite.  Email the url link of this page to your friends and relatives and get them in on the fun too.

 

 BEST SPORT PHOTO COMPETITION

From now till the end of winter sport action is going to be ramping up to the finals. So if you’re having a down day or been relegated to bench warmer grab a camera and take some great action shots of your mates.  The photos judged to be best by our expert  panel will be printed on large canvas and hung in the LCS halls of fame.  You will get a copy of your winning picture and the picture judged to be best picture of the season (before the saturday after AFL grand final day) will win a $50 Harvey Norman voucher and a mystery item (yet to be decided but thinking of a signed footy or soccer paraphernalia).

Conditions of Entry:  only 3 photos will be accepted per entry.  Entries should emailed to Mr. A or put in “Best Sport Photo Competition” folder in the Design Graphics drive labelled as “your name + title of the shot”. 

If you need to borrow a good camera  for a sporting event come and see me more than 10 seconds before the event.

PACKAGING DESIGN CHALLENGE 2009 IS OVER

Grade 9 worked extremely hard to produce some very high quality entries.  Unfortunately only two entries from the class could be selected and those two were not successful in making it to the final.  Apparently there were over 2500 entries which means a lot of schools around Australia entered this competition.  It will be interesting to look at the winners this year and make plans for our entries for next year.

 

MY STATE FILM FESTIVAL

 

And just when you thought the avalanche of competitions was over along came the My State Film Festival.  This year’s theme is “Mirror”.  Start pondering and planning.
